We didn’t just come to play, we came to shake up the card game.

What started out as Anoela Cards (shoutout to our founder, Leo) quickly turned into a tag-team takeover when her best friend turned co-founder, Ify, jumped on board. Why? Because the greeting card world was seriously lacking cards that felt relatable, relevant, and representative of the people actually buying them.

We wanted cards that sounded like the group chat. Cards that got the joke. Cards that celebrated life’s biggest moments without sounding like they were written in 1997. All wrapped up in premium paper and designed to make people feel seen.

We believe everyone deserves to find a card that reflects their relationships, experiences, culture, humour, and milestones. Turns out, we weren’t the only ones.

From Lagos to London, Brooklyn to Brisbane, people showed up for cards that felt fresh, modern, and unapologetically themselves. The kind of cards that get passed around the room, posted on Instagram, and kept long after the occasion is over. We even landed publishing deals with the likes of Moonpig, Greetz, and Scribbler, because apparently everyone was ready for a little more personality in the card aisle.

Fast forward and here we are as Rich Girl Paper: bigger, bolder, and still obsessed with helping people celebrate well. We create cards that make people laugh out loud, ugly cry, screenshot and send to their friends, or immediately pick up the phone and call someone they love. If it doesn’t make you feel something, it’s not one of ours.

And most importantly? We wouldn’t be who we are without our incredible community of thoughtful greeting card lovers; the ones who’ve cheered us on, stocked their shelves, and kept this paper party rolling worldwide!
